My name is Emett Joseph, and I have been a professional wedding photographer for over 6 years! I chose the course Masterclass: Post Wedding Photography Workflow Tutorial in hopes of bringing a fresh perspective into my own professional workflow.

The instructor, Brett Florens, is a world-renowned fashion and wedding photographer. An ambassador for top brands like Nikon and Smug Mug, Brett has years of professional experience capturing high end, destination weddings, modern fashion, and commercial work. In this hour-long course, Brett covers everything from including AI in your post-production workflow, tools for culling through photos after an event, how to effectively price yourself as a wedding photographer, communicating value, upselling and more.
From the moment the video started and Brett Florens started speaking, I could tell that he meant business! Engaging and exciting, I was quickly inspired to revitalize my workflow and work ON my business, not just in it!
The video and sound quality of the course is top notch and clearly professional. The visuals are crystal clear and easy to watch, the editing is smooth and consistent, and the platform is a breeze to navigate. The course and website itself are intuitive and easy to watch!

The course is directly aligned towards the needs of photographers in the wedding industry. He immediately addresses common issues like editing perfectionism, how long it takes to cull through a wedding gallery, and what photographers can do to maximize profits and save time. There are techniques taught that are transferable to real-world photography scenarios, like batch editing and retouching. Aspiring photographers and wedding photographers everywhere could learn from this course!
This course is unique in a few ways. Brett does a great job of providing names and examples of actual software that he uses, along with other options that are available to wedding photographers, rather than providing only one example or no examples at all like other courses. My favorite tip/trick that I learned was using a program like Evoto to streamline editing across many different lighting scenarios to create cohesive, consistent images. While Brett talks about this concept, there is a live demonstration of the program in use, providing real-world examples.I also loved learning about how to increase profits via album sales, how to diversify the albums you end up selling, and selling albums to more than just the typical bride and groom!
I’d recommend this course to aspiring wedding photographers or new wedding photographers. It provides a great overview of the expectations of wedding photographers, how to implement workflows that meet these expectations, and how to wow and impress potential clients.
