Sam & Spencer sunrise elopement at Red Top Lookout, was epic. Nothing beats that dreamy, glowy light of dawn. Not even sleep. Plus, sunrise elopements are peaceful and intimate. Not a lot of people are willing to wake up early to see the sunrise. Which means you have the whole mountain to yourself!

• Obtain the required documents and passes. If you elope in one of the national parks, you’ll need a National Parks Pass. For $80.00, you can grab an annual pass! A small price to pay for a year of endless adventures! To get married legally in Washington state, you’ll need a marriage license. • Arrive at the trailhead before sunrise; the distance of your hike will impact what time you should show up!
• Bring a snack, aside from your partner.
• Take the time to soak in that warm glow as the sun peaks over the horizon. It’s pretty freaking magical.
• Bring hiking shoes and a pair that are comfortable and cute. Flats or booties for the fem folks, white vans or converse for something more comfortable to walk around in. For a more masculine vibe, leather dress shoes are a great option. – for the masculine-presenting.
